Back in April of 2006 I attended the Together For The Gospel Conference, and in the attendee bag they handed out a little booklet called “An Approach to the Extended Memorization of Scripture – by, Dr. Andrew Davis.”
I read this short little booklet and it was a very effective and neat approach to memorizing large portions of Scripture.
Last weekend I was pleasantly surprised to see Dr. Davis at the Reformation Truth Conference. I learned here that he offers it for free online and can be downloaded here.
I recommend it.

I don’t like the fact that the book recommends making a covenant with God. It seem manipulative and ill advised.
We should let out “yes” be “yes”, and believe that God is more than willing to aid us in our efforts without our desperate posturing and promises.
